Merv was a key employee at Electro-Dynamic (ED), a subsidiary of General Dynamics Electric Boat until 2000 when it was dissolved. Merv served as the ED Director of Operations from 1995 to 2000. Merv and his wife Donna created EMS in 2000 and have grown from a two-person, garage-based operation to a 20-person business in a new 25,000 square foot building. In addition to design, engineering, manufacturing, assembly, and test spaces, the building includes a full in-house machine shop capability as well as metal forming and welding.
